Evaluation Instruments for Problem-Based Learning and the Transition Block at the University of Miami School of Medicine
2003 Versions:
Below are PDF copies of students’ self and peer evaluations of their participation in the PBL groups, the facilitator’s (tutor’s) evaluation of the students’ participation, student assessment of the facilitator (tutor), the students assessment of the entire Transition Block within which the PBL takes place, and a Guide to the end of the week reflective session.
2004 Versions:
Weekly evaluations. In 2004 we simplified the form for facilitator (tutor) evaluation of student participation, made it a weekly exercise, and included an attendance record. The new form includes students’ photos to aid teacher’s memory. Descriptors of the various categories are included with the instrument.
